Dialon is used to lower blood glucose levels in patients with Type II diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) when diet and exercise alone are insufficient. It can be used:
- Alone as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
- In combination with metformin if either medication alone does not provide adequate glycaemic control.
- Alongside insulin therapy when blood glucose cannot be controlled by diet, exercise, and an oral hypoglycaemic agent alone.
