Calcipotriol is a non-steroidal antipsoriatic agent derived from vitamin D. It binds to vitamin D receptors, regulating cell growth and differentiation. While it works similarly to natural vitamin D, it has a much weaker effect on calcium metabolism. Calcipotriol helps normalize keratinocyte function, reversing the abnormal cell changes seen in psoriasis.
