Description

  • Eltropag 50 is a thrombopoietin agonist. It works by stimulating the formation of new platelets in the blood. Platelets help to reduce or prevent bleeding.
  • Take Eltropag 50 on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
  • Take Eltropag 50 at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after eating dairy products and calcium-fortified juices.

Eltropag 50 is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce new platelets, thereby increasing platelet counts and reducing the risk of bleeding.

Eltropag 50 is indicated for the treatment of low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) associated with:

  • Chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in adults and children
  • Hepatitis C virus (HCV)–related thrombocytopenia
  • Severe aplastic anemia
