- Sida cordifolia: Contains ephedrine, which acts as a CNS stimulant, producing strength and encouraging muscular tone. It is effective as an antiasthmatic due to its bronchodilating alkaloids.
- Withania somnifera: Contains several alkaloids such as withasomines, withanolides, and steroidal lactones. It functions as an adaptogen, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, immunomodulator, tonic, and aphrodisiac.
- Vanda roxburghii: The roots are used in bronchitis and rheumatism, showing anti-inflammatory activity due to heptacosane and octacosanol.
- Ricinus communis: Known for its sweet, light, bitter, and purgative properties. Castor oil is particularly suitable for young children and childbearing women, and it is a reputed remedy for rheumatic conditions, dyspnoea, flatulence, visceral pain, lumbago, and headache.
- Elettaria cardamomum: Has carminative and stimulant properties.
- Syzygium aromaticum: Contains eugenol and acetyl eugenol, which inhibit arachidonate-adrenaline and collagen-induced platelet aggregation.
- Vetiveria zizanoides: The root acts as a tonic, diuretic, stomachic, and antispasmodic, helping with dyspepsia, indigestion, diarrhea, and vomiting.
- Tribulus terrestris: Acts as a tonic, improves vitality, prevents wrinkles, serves as a uterine tonic, and is used in post-childbirth debility.
