Esomups 20 mg: Each MUPS tablet contains 133.33 mg enteric-coated pellets equivalent to 20 mg Esomeprazole (as Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate USP)

Esomups 40 mg: Each MUPS tablet contains 266.67 mg enteric-coated pellets equivalent to 40 mg Esomeprazole

  • Do not eat close to bedtime to reduce reflux risk
  • Report persistent diarrhea or abdominal pain
  • Maintain adequate calcium & magnesium intake
  • Watch for signs of kidney problems with long-term use

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion. It is effective in healing acid-related mucosal damage and preventing recurrence.

Esomups is indicated for:

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
  • Prevention of gastric ulcers associated with NSAID use
  • Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (as part of triple therapy)
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions
