Femogest 2 mg Tablet is used in the management of endometriosis. The detailed uses of Femogest 2 mg Tablet are as follows:

  • Femogest 2 mg Tablet helps relieve pelvic pain and inflammation associated with endometriosis by suppressing the production of estradiol (a hormone) and preventing the abnormal growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus.
  • It may help control and reduce prolonged or heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) associated with endometriosis.
  • It may be used as part of hormone replacement therapy during menopause (the permanent end of periods) to balance hormone levels and relieve menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness.

Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which the tissue that generally lines the endometrium (inside the uterus) grows outside the uterus. Femogest contains Dienogest, which suppresses the production of a hormone called estradiol, which causes excess growth in the endometrium. Thereby, Femogest 2 mg Tablet helps in treating pelvic pain associated with endometriosis.
