Fenaton 500 is used for managing:
Moderate to severe pain, including:
- Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)
- Headache
- Muscle and joint pain
- Dental pain
- Postoperative pain
Inflammatory conditions, such as:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Osteoarthritis
- Excessive menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)
Fenaton 500 inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis, which decreases pain, inflammation, and fever. It has:
- Analgesic effects → pain relief
- Anti-inflammatory effects → reduces swelling/redness
- Antipyretic effects → reduces fever
- Take with food or milk to avoid stomach upset
- Do not stop abruptly; complete the prescribed course
- Long-term use increases risk of GI bleeding, kidney problems, and cardiovascular events
