Indication
Fenofex 50ml Syrup belongs to the class of medications known as antihistamines. It is used to treat allergies such as hay fever, conjunctivitis, and some skin reactions such as eczema, hives, and bite and sting reactions. Watery eyes, a runny nose, sneezing, and itching are also relieved. On an empty stomach, take Fenofex 50ml Syrup. The dose may differ depending on the reason you are taking it. Take it exactly as directed by your doctor.
Pharmacology
The antihistamine fexofenadine hydrochloride works by blocking peripheral H1 receptors. It is rapidly absorbed after oral administration and reaches maximum plasma concentration in 2-3 hours. It does not appear to be capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier.
Dosage & Administration
Allergic Rhinitis During the Season-
Adults and children aged 12 and up:
- 60 mg twice daily, 120 mg once daily, 180 mg once daily
- In the event of impaired renal function, take 60 mg once daily.
Children aged 6 to 11 years old:
- 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily in tablet form
- In the event of impaired renal function, take 30 mg once daily.
Children aged two to eleven years
- 30 mg or 5 mL twice daily suspension
- If you have impaired renal function, take 30 mg or 5 ml once daily.
Interaction
When combined with erythromycin or ketoconazole, the plasma concentration of Fexofenadine Hydrochloride increased. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride retention is reduced by stomach-settling agents containing aluminum and magnesium hydroxide.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known extreme touchiness to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its fixings.
