Fexo 60mg Tablet is an Anti-Allergic medicine. It is used for the treatment and management of allergies.
- Active ingredient and classification: Fexo 60mg Tablet contains fexofenadine, which belongs to the group of medicines called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
- Indications: Fexo 60mg Tablet is used in adults and children (aged above 12 years) for the relief of symptoms associated with hay fever or seasonal allergic rhinitides, such as nasal stuffiness, itching, sneezing, and watery eyes. It is also used to relieve symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria, including itching, swelling, and rashes.
- Interaction with fruit juices: It is advised to avoid drinking certain fruit juices, such as grapefruit, orange, and apple while taking Fexo 60mg Tablet, as they may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine.
- Allergy and contraindications: Fexo 60mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to fexofenadine or any of its components.
- Precautions: Before taking Fexo 60mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you or your child has an intolerance to certain sugars (such as lactose) or if you have liver, kidney, and/or heart problems. It should be used with caution in pregnant women, only if advised by a doctor. The use of Fexo 60mg Tablet is also not indicated in breastfeeding women unless advised by a doctor.
