Nabumetone belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) indicated to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is caused by the breakdown of the joint lining, whereas rheumatoid arthritis is caused by swelling of the joint linings.
Flamfix 750mg Tablet contains Nabumetone, which works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Thereby, it helps treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Avoid taking Nabumetone during the last three months of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding. This medicine may cause dizziness; drive only if you are alert. Nabumetone is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
