  • Asthma Treatment: This inhaler is for treating asthma in patients 12 years and older. It is not for the immediate relief of acute bronchospasm.
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Maintenance: This inhalation capsule is for twice-daily maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is the only approved dosage for treating airflow obstruction in COPD.

This product is a dry powder inhaler combining Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate BP and Budesonide BP, designed for oral inhalation. Budesonide is a glucocorticosteroid with anti-inflammatory effects in the airways, reducing symptoms and asthma exacerbations. It has fewer side effects than systemic corticosteroids. Formoterol is a selective β2 adrenoceptor agonist that provides rapid and long-lasting bronchodilation for reversible airway obstruction. Its effects begin within 1-3 minutes and last at least 12 hours.
