Do Not Take If You Have:

Risk of Lactic Acidosis:
- A rare but serious side effect, especially if kidneys are not working properly, or if you have uncontrolled diabetes, serious infections, liver problems, or are dehydrated.
- Stop taking metformin and contact a doctor immediately if you experience symptoms.
Symptoms of Lactic Acidosis:
- Vomiting.
- Stomach ache.
- Muscle cramps.
- Severe tiredness.
- Difficulty breathing.
- Reduced body temperature and heartbeat.
Risk of Hypoglycemia:
- Can occur if taken with other diabetes medications.
- Symptoms include weakness, dizziness, increased sweating, fast heartbeat, vision disorders, and difficulty concentrating. Consuming sugar helps alleviate these symptoms.
Inform your doctor if you use:
- Diuretics.
- NSAIDs (pain and inflammation).
- High blood pressure medications.
- Beta-2 agonists (e.g., salbutamol for asthma).
- Corticosteroids.
- Other diabetes medications.
