GLUTABIANE 600 mg contains glutathione, a vital antioxidant that plays a key role in detoxification and cellular defense mechanisms. It has been widely used via intravenous administration in cases of acute poisoning and chronic liver disorders. Recent research has explored its oral therapeutic potential, particularly in managing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
- In a multicenter, open-label pilot study (Trial ID: UMIN000011118), oral glutathione was evaluated in patients with ultrasonography-confirmed NAFLD.
- Initial Phase (3 months): All participants underwent lifestyle modifications (diet and exercise).
- Treatment Phase (4 months): Patients received oral glutathione at 300 mg/day.

Significant reduction in ALT levels, indicating improved liver function.
Reduction in triglycerides (TG), non-esterified fatty acids (FFA), and ferritin.
