Treatment should not exceed two consecutive weeks, and the total dosage should be limited to no more than 50 grams per week, as prolonged use may suppress the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis.
- The use of Halobetasol in children under 12 years is not recommended. The safety and effectiveness of Halobet Cream and Ointment in pediatric patients have not been established. Children are at a higher risk of HPA axis suppression when treated with topical corticosteroids.
