Histacin 4mg (Chlorpheniramine Maleate) Tablet is an antihistamine that is used to prevent or treat allergic reactions like hay fever or urticaria caused by pollen, dust, or animal hair. Use of this medicine in children under the age of 2 years is not recommended.
- Histacin 4mg Tablet is a sedating antihistamine medication used primarily to alleviate allergy symptoms such as itchy throat/nose, runny nose, sneezing, and irritated/watery eyes. Allergies occur when foreign substances, known as allergens, invade the body, triggering the release of histamine, which causes swelling, inflammation, redness, itching, and watery discharge in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Some common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, blurred vision, restlessness, and dry mouth, nose, or throat. When using this medication, exercise caution while driving or operating machinery, as it may cause blurred vision, drowsiness, or dizziness. It is important to refrain from consuming alcohol while taking Histacin 4mg Tablet, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.
- To prevent dehydration and overheating during exercise or in hot weather, drink plenty of fluids while taking Histacin 4mg Tablet, as it can reduce sweating and increase the risk of heatstroke.
