- Humulin 70/30 Cartridge 100IU/ml  is a combination of two types of insulin:
- Intermediate-acting insulin
- Short-acting insulin
- Used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus (type 1 and 2) to improve blood sugar control in adults and children.
- Helps maintain blood sugar levels in diabetic patients.
- Administered under the skin.
- Should be taken 15 minutes before a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal.
- Normally prescribed along with other diabetes medicines.
- Patients should be taught the correct way of injecting it by a doctor or nurse.
- Should not be stopped unless instructed by the doctor.
- Part of a treatment program that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction.
- Common side effect: low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia).
- Other side effects may include reactions at the injection site (redness or swelling), weight gain, rash, edema (swelling), or itching.
