Karvela 800 contains Sevelamer, which belongs to the group of medicines called Phosphate Binding Agents. It is used to control the serum phosphorous levels in patients with long-term kidney disease who are on dialysis. Renal failure is the most common cause of high phosphorous levels, as there is reduced filtration of inorganic phosphate, increasing serum levels.
Hyperphosphatemia: Controls high phosphate levels in the body, especially in adult patients on dialysis, hemodialysis, and those with chronic kidney disease.
Bone Disease: Helps in the treatment of bone disease related to high phosphate levels.
Karvela 800 contains sevelamer, which binds phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract and decreases its absorption. This helps reduce excess phosphate levels in the blood, prevents the unsafe build-up of phosphate, supports bone strength, and lowers the risk of heart disease and strokes.
