Laxocon contains Sodium Picosulfate, a locally acting stimulant laxative. After activation by colonic bacteria, it stimulates the mucosa of the large intestine and rectum, resulting in:
- Enhanced colonic peristalsis
- Increased rectal motility and feeling of fullness
- Accumulation of water & electrolytes in the colon
- Soften stool and facilitate bowel evacuation
