Levosina TS 1.5% Eye Drop is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections. It alleviates infection symptoms by preventing the growth of the causative bacteria.

Levosina TS 1.5% Eye Drop is for external use only. Follow your doctor’s dosage and duration instructions. Avoid skipping doses and complete the full treatment course even if you feel better. Levosina TS 1.5% Eye Drop is an antibiotic that treats bacterial eye infections by preventing bacteria from dividing and repairing. It inhibits the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA gyrase.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Levosina TS 1.5% Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Quick Tips

  • Complete the full course of treatment.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute after instilling the medication.
  • Avoid touching the tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination.
  • Wait 5-10 minutes before applying another medication to the same eye.
  • Use caution when driving or using machinery due to possible short-term blurring of vision.

Dosage & Administration

Adults and Children (6 years and older):

  • Days 1-3: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 30 minutes to 2 hours while awake, and 4-6 hours after retiring.
  • Day 4 through completion: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 1-4 hours while awake.

Contraindication

Levofloxacin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, quinolones, or any other components of this product.

Mode of Action

Levofloxacin inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase, essential enzymes for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. It is effective against a broad range of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.

Precautions

  • Avoid subconjunctival injection and direct introduction into the anterior chamber of the eye.
