Indication
Levoxin 500 is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. It is also used to treat infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin, and soft tissues, as well as the lungs (pneumonia). It cures the infection by preventing the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. Levoxin 500 should be taken in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor.
Pharmacology

Administration & Dosage
- Levoxin 500 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
- Avoid Levoxin 500 with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, and ice cream.

Side Effect
This medication is generally well tolerated. Diarrhea and a slight yellow discoloration of the skin are possible side effects of beta-carotene treatment. Vitamins C and E have been linked to diarrhea and other gastrointestinal issues.
