Linzo is not effective against Gram-negative bacterial infections. It should only be used for infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria.
Linzo is an antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by certain Gram-positive bacteria, including:
- Hospital-acquired (nosocomial) pneumonia
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Complicated skin and soft tissue infections, including diabetic foot infections (without bone infection)
- Uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections
- Infections caused by Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE)
