Lopo Tablet | Losartan Potassium
Hypertension:
Lopo Tablet is indicated for the management of high blood pressure. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents such as thiazide diuretics.
Renal Protection in Type 2 Diabetes with Proteinuria:
Lopo is indicated to slow the progression of renal disease in hypertensive type-2 diabetic patients with proteinuria (urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio >300 mg/g)
Usual Adult Dose: 50 mg once daily.
- If response is inadequate: 25 mg twice daily may be used before increasing the total dose.
Dose Range: 25–100 mg per day (in one or two divided doses).
Intravascular Volume Depletion (e.g., from high-dose diuretics): Start with 25 mg once daily.
Elderly (up to 75 years): No dose adjustment needed.
Over 75 years: Start with 25 mg once daily due to limited clinical data.
Renal Impairment:
Mild (CrCl 20–50 ml/min): No adjustment needed.
Moderate to severe (CrCl <20 ml/min) or dialysis: Start with 25 mg once daily.
Hepatic Impairment: Use lower doses due to higher plasma levels in cirrhotic patients.
May be administered with or without food, alone or with other antihypertensives.
