Escitalopram Oxalate is used to treat:
- Depression
- Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
Losita 5mg Tablet contains Escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain, which helps to improve mood and reduce anxiety.
- Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel sleepy or dizzy.
- Do not stop taking the medication abruptly to avoid withdrawal symptoms like mood changes, irritability, dizziness, numbness in hands or feet, and sleep disturbances.
- Inform your doctor of any changes in behavior.
- Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking and any pre-existing medical conditions.
- Take Losita 5mg Tablet with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.
- The dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on your condition.
- Your doctor may start you on a lower dose and gradually increase it.
- Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without consulting your doctor.
- Losita 5mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.Â
