Description

Injection Manufacturer/Distributor: ACI Limited Generic Name: Calcitriol 1 mcg/ml Injection

Luliren cream is used for the topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum.
Use this medication as directed by a registered physician.

Pharmacology
Luliconazole, the active ingredient in Luliren cream, is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent from the azole class. It works by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol demethylase, which blocks the synthesis of ergosterol—an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This action provides strong fungicidal effects both in vitro and in vivo against dermatophytes, Candida albicans, Malassezia species, Trichophyton, and Epidermophyton species.

Dosage & Administration
Adults & Elderly:

Interdigital Tinea Pedis: Apply the cream once daily to the affected area and about 1 inch of the surrounding skin for two weeks.

Tinea Cruris and Tinea Corporis: Apply once daily to the affected area and about 1 inch of the surrounding skin for one week.

Pediatric Use:
Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
Use this medication as directed by a registered physician.

Contraindications
Luliconazole cream should not be used by individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to luliconazole.

Side Effects
Possible side effects include contact dermatitis and cellulitis. Application site reactions were reported in less than 1% of participants during clinical trials.

Pregnancy & Lactation
There are no well-controlled studies on the use of luliconazole cream in pregnant women. It should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. It is unknown if luliconazole is excreted in human breast milk, so caution is advised when applying the cream to breastfeeding women.

Precautions & Warnings
If any unusual allergic reaction occurs while using Luliren, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate medical care. Luliren is intended for topical use only and should not be applied to the eyes, taken orally, or used intravaginally.
