The active ingredient in Mirader 25 is mirabegron, which works by relaxing the muscles of the bladder. In individuals with OAB, the bladder contracts before it is full, triggering the urge to urinate frequently. By reducing these involuntary contractions, Mirader 25 Â enhances bladder control and increases the amount of urine the bladder can store.
Mirader 25 is classified under a group of medications known as urinary antispasmodics or urinary antagonists, mainly used to manage the symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB). This condition is characterized by involuntary contractions of the bladder muscles, leading to a sudden urge to urinate, frequent urination, and difficulty in controlling urination.
Like all medications, Mirader 25 may cause some side effects in certain individuals. Common side effects include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, and a rapid heartbeat. These symptoms are usually mild and temporary, resolving on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist or become bothersome.
Avoid using Mirader 25 if you are allergic to any of its components. Before starting the treatment, inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of kidney or liver disorders, high blood pressure, urinary retention, angioedema, or heart rhythm abnormalities (such as QT interval prolongation). If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek medical advice before using this medication. Additionally, since dizziness may occur, avoid activities like driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
