Nabuton 750mg contains Nabumetone, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug manufactured by Navana Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Nabumetone is used to reduce pain and inflammation in arthritis conditions under medical supervision.
What Nabuton is used for
Nabuton is indicated for relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. NSAIDs should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with the patient’s treatment goal.
How it works
Nabumetone is a prodrug that is converted in the liver to an active metabolite that helps inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, reducing inflammation, pain, and fever-related pathways.
How to take Nabuton
- Take only as prescribed by your doctor.
- Taking with food or milk may reduce stomach upset.
- Do not combine with other NSAIDs unless your doctor advises.
- Long-term use may require monitoring of kidney function, liver function, blood pressure, and blood counts.
Who should avoid or be careful
- Avoid if allergic to Nabumetone, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if NSAIDs have caused asthma, urticaria, or allergic reactions.
- Do not use for peri-operative pain in coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
- Use caution in heart disease, stroke risk, kidney disease, liver disease, stomach ulcer, bleeding disorder, high blood pressure, elderly patients, and patients taking diuretics or ACE inhibitors.
- Avoid during the third trimester of pregnancy and consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Possible side effects
Possible side effects include diarrhoea, indigestion, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, gastritis, dizziness, headache, rash, itching, tinnitus, swelling, and drowsiness. Seek urgent medical help for chest pain, black stool, vomiting blood, severe allergic reaction, breathing trouble, or sudden weakness.
