Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) primarily acts in the central nervous system (CNS) by increasing the pain threshold and reducing fever. It inhibits COX enzymes (COX-1, COX-2, COX-3) involved in prostaglandin synthesis, particularly in the hypothalamus, helping to relieve pain and regulate body temperature.
