Uses of Novaclav 625
- Treatment of bacterial infections.
Novaclav 625 combines two active agents:
- Amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic that blocks enzymes required to form bacterial cell walls.
- Clavulanic acid, a beta-lactam compound that neutralises bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes which normally deactivate amoxicillin.
Together, they increase the medicine’s effectiveness against resistant bacteria.
Novaclav 625 TABLET is prescribed for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is effective against infections of the middle ear, sinuses, respiratory tract, urinary and genital tract, skin and soft tissues (including dental infections), bones and joints, abdominal region, and in cases of septic abortion. Typical signs of bacterial infection may include fever, pain, pus formation, and breathing difficulties.
This medicine contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, two antibiotics that work together to stop bacterial growth and eliminate the infection.
Novaclav 625 TABLET should not be used if you have a history of liver problems or jaundice after taking antibiotics containing amoxicillin-clavulanate. Inform your physician if you have liver disease, kidney issues, glandular fever, urinary difficulties, or any kind of hepatic impairment before starting this medicine.
The tablet should be used cautiously in pregnant or breastfeeding women and only when clearly needed. It must also be used carefully in children under 12 years and in adults over 50 years.
If too much Novaclav 625 is taken, contact your doctor or visit a hospital immediately. Overdose may cause stomach discomfort, indigestion, bloating, constipation, or other gastrointestinal symptoms.
