Nystat Oral Suspension is an oral suspension used to treat candidiasis in the mouth. It is effective against various yeasts and fungi. Prolonged usage generally shows no adverse effects, but there have been reports of oral irritation, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances, and bloody diarrhea. In some cases, urticaria, rashes, facial swelling, tachycardia, bronchospasm, and myalgia have been reported. This medicine should not be used for systemic mycoses and should be discontinued if any sensitization, irritation, or allergic reaction is observed. Overdose may cause nausea or gastrointestinal upsets, but no serious or toxic effects have been reported. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to Nistin 100000IU Suspension or its components.
