Description

Omenix is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Gastric and duodenal ulcers
  • NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers
  • Prophylaxis in patients with a history of NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Long-term management of acid reflux disease
  • Acid-related dyspepsia
  • Severe ulcerating reflux esophagitis
  • Prophylaxis of acid aspiration during general anesthesia
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
  • Helicobacter pylori-induced peptic ulcers. Use only as directed by a registered physician.

Omeprazole, a member of the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class of medications, is designed to decrease the acid production in the stomach. It is effective in treating various conditions, including:

  • Duodenal and gastric ulcers
  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
  • Esophageal inflammation
  • Conditions associated with excessive stomach acid secretion

Omenix 40 Capsule is not recommended for use in patients with history of allergic reactions to omeprazole or any other proton pump inhibitors (Ex. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole and esomeprazole). Before taking Omenix 40 Capsule, tell your doctor if you have any severe liver problems, weight loss, swallowing problems, stomach pain or indigestion, osteoporosis (condition in which bones become weak and brittle), vitamin B12 deficiency, schedule for specific blood test (chromogranin A). Omenix 40 Capsule  should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) due to increased risk of fractures.The most common side effects of taking Omenix 40 Capsule are headache, diarrhoea, stomach pain, constipation and flatulence. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects bothers you.
