- Pantonix 20 reduces stomach acid production and improves symptoms of esophagitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), often known as heartburn.
- Pantonix 20 reduces stomach acid by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase or gastric proton pump). This proton pump is found in stomach wall cells and is responsible for the release of gastric acid secretion, which damages tissues in the food pipe, stomach, and duodenum.
