Quiet 200 XR Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person’s ability to think and behave) and mania. It is also used to treat bipolar disorders.
Quetiapine, an atypical antipsychotic, used to manage:
- Bipolar Disorder: Characterized by episodes of mania (extreme happiness) and depression.
- Schizophrenia: A mental disorder involving hallucinations, delusions, and feelings of suspicion, anxiety, confusion, guilt, tension, or depression.
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD): Persistent sadness or depressed mood with a loss of interest in activities affecting daily life.
Quetiapine works by modulating the activity of certain neurotransmitters (dopamine and serotonin) in the brain, which helps improve the symptoms of mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
- Inform your doctor if you have any issues related to the liver, kidney, or heart.
- Notify your doctor if you have diabetes, a blood clot history, or a history of drug abuse.
- Consult your doctor before taking QUTIPIN if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Use with caution in elderly patients with dementia.
- Avoid consumption as it may increase the risk of side effects.
- Quetiapine may raise blood sugar or cholesterol levels. Regular monitoring through periodic blood tests is recommended.
