Silodosin is a selective antagonist of post-synaptic alpha-1 adrenoreceptors located in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, prostatic capsule, and prostatic urethra. By blocking these receptors, Silodosin causes smooth muscle relaxation, which improves urine flow and reduces BPH symptoms.
Siloflo (Silodosin) is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is not indicated for the treatment of hypertension.
- Highly effective for BPH treatment.
- Exhibits the highest uroselectivity to alpha-1 adrenergic receptors.
- Effective for patients not responding to Tamsulosin.
- Does not cause orthostatic hypotension.
- Convenient once-daily dosing.
Use as prescribed by a registered physician.
