Local inflammatory, pruritic, and allergic skin conditions, including:
- Eczema & Dermatitis: Atopic eczema, seborrhoeic eczema, discoid eczema, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, otitis externa.
- Other inflammatory dermatoses: Prurigo, psoriasis, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus.
Indicated where secondary bacterial infection is present or likely.
Fluocinolone acetonide: A synthetic corticosteroid derivative of hydrocortisone.
- Reduces inflammation, redness, and itching.
- Modulates the immune response in skin disorders.
- Additional effect: Enhances TGF-β–associated chondrogenesis in bone marrow stem cells, increasing collagen type II more than 100-fold compared to dexamethasone.
- Apply a small amount of cream/ointment 2–3 times daily.
- Massage gently and thoroughly into the affected skin.
- Suitable for both adults and children, including elderly.
