Description

Ursodeoxycholic Acid is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Cholestasis (Jaundice)
  • Viral Hepatitis
  • Alcoholic Fatty Liver
  • Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC)
  • Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)
  • Dissolution of Gallstones
  • Non-Alcoholic Steato Hepatitis (NASH)

Each tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid.

  • Treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis (damage of bile ducts in the liver leading to a buildup of bile).
  • Dissolution of small gallstones that are not visible on X-ray (less than 15mm diameter) in patients with a functioning gall bladder.
  • Liver disease associated with cystic fibrosis in children aged 6 to less than 18 years.

Diagnostic Tests During Treatment: Your doctor might request several diagnostic tests such as liver function tests and gall bladder scans during or during the treatment with Stener 300mg Tablet.

Contraindications are Allergy to bile acids and calcified gallstones, Inflammation of the gallbladder or the bile ducts, Blockage of the common bile duct or cystic duct, Frequent cramp-like pains in the upper abdomen, Low bile flow in children, Improper function of the gall bladder, Use with caution in patients with liver diseases.

Should be taken during pregnancy only if advised by the doctor. Use with caution in breastfeeding women. Ask your doctor’s advice before taking it.
