It works by reducing edema. Only bacterial eye infections are treated or prevented by this medicine. For other kinds of eye infections, it won’t work. Any antibiotic can lose some of its potency if it is used excessively or unnecessarily.
T-Mycin Plus Eye Ointment works to treat the underlying illness by preventing bacterial development. Pay close attention to the directions provided by your doctor when using this medication. Before administering any further eye medications, wait at least five minutes. As directed by your doctor, it should be used consistently at regular periods of time. Even if you feel better, do not miss any doses and complete the whole course of therapy. If you stop taking the medication too soon, the illness might come back or get worse.
