- Tapinarof is used for the topical treatment of mild to moderately severe psoriasis.
- It reduces the red, scaly patches on the skin by lowering the rate at which skin cells grow.
Tapinor 1% Cream contains Tapinarof which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-psoriatics. Tapinor 1% Cream is used to manage plaque psoriasis (a long-lasting autoimmune disease that causes thick scaly patches on the skin) in affected individuals.
Tapinor 1% Cream is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Tapinor 1% Cream. It is also not recommended for use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction (immune response to an allergen), calcium metabolism disorders (due to high/low calcium levels), vitamin D toxicity, and/or severe liver & kidney disease.
Before applying Tapinor 1% Cream, inform your doctor if you are a smoker, undergoing ultraviolet treatment, and/or suffering from exfoliative/pustular psoriasis.
Tapinor 1% Cream is not recommended for use in children (aged below 6 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor. Â
