Ticagrelor is used for the Prevention of thrombotic events (cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, stroke) in patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), including those undergoing coronary interventions.
- Acute coronary syndrome: Loading dose (180 mg), then maintenance dose (90 mg twice daily) for the first year, followed by 60 mg twice daily after one year.
- Always administered with aspirin (325 mg loading dose, then maintenance of 75-100 mg/day, not exceeding 100 mg/day).
Ticarel 90 is an antiplatelet or blood thinner used to prevent heart attack, stroke, or other serious cardiovascular events in people with heart disease. It is commonly prescribed along with aspirin to prevent clot formation after conditions like acute coronary syndrome (ACS), heart attacks, or unstable angina. Ticarel 90 is also used for patients who have had stenting procedures.
