Triamcinolone acetonide 40mg/ml: i.m. Inj is indicated for short-term relief in cases of:
- Acute gouty arthritis
- Bursitis
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis with synovitis
- Epicondylitis
- Tenosynovitis

- Intramuscular Use:
When oral corticosteroids are not suitable, Trialon injection is indicated in the following conditions for systemic treatment: - Rheumatic Disorders: Short-term treatment during acute episodes of conditions such as acute gouty arthritis, acute rheumatic carditis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and both adult and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
- Allergic Conditions: Severe or disabling allergies unresponsive to standard treatment, including asthma, atopic/contact dermatitis, drug allergies, serum sickness, seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, and transfusion reactions.
- Dermatological Disorders: Effective in severe skin conditions such as pemphigus, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, exfoliative erythroderma, dermatitis herpetiformis, and mycosis fungoides.
- Endocrine Disorders: Used in primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (with mineralocorticoids if needed), congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hypercalcemia in malignancy, and subacute thyroiditis.
- Gastrointestinal Diseases: Helps manage critical phases of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
- Hematological Disorders: Indicated in autoimmune hemolytic anemia, Diamond-Blackfan anemia, pure red cell aplasia, and certain cases of thrombocytopenia.
- Neoplastic Diseases: For palliative care in lymphomas and leukemias.
- Neurological Disorders: Acute flare-ups of multiple sclerosis, and management of cerebral edema due to brain tumors or surgery.
- Ophthalmic Conditions: For severe inflammatory eye diseases such as uveitis, sympathetic ophthalmia, and temporal arteritis.
- Renal Disorders: Used in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome and lupus nephritis for inducing remission.
- Respiratory Disorders: Treats conditions such as berylliosis, severe sarcoidosis, eosinophilic pneumonia, and disseminated tuberculosis (with anti-TB drugs).
- Miscellaneous: Indicated in trichinosis with systemic involvement and tuberculous meningitis (alongside anti-TB therapy).
