Trophen contains Phenylephrine and Tropicamide:
- Phenylephrine: Acts as a decongestant that constricts blood vessels and reduces swelling.
- Tropicamide: An anticholinergic agent that relaxes eye muscles and dilates the pupil.
Together, these components enlarge the pupil and relax eye muscles, facilitating an effective internal examination of the eye.
