Twinor is a prescription ophthalmic medicine used to treat:
- Ocular hypertension (increased eye pressure)
- Open-angle glaucoma
It helps reduce high intraocular pressure, thereby lowering the risk of optic nerve damage and vision loss.
- Adults: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart
Twinor is a combination of two active ingredients:
- Timolol (beta-blocker)
- Brimonidine (alpha-2 adrenergic agonist)
They work together by:
- Reducing the production of aqueous humor (eye fluid)
- Increasing fluid drainage from the eye
This dual action helps lower intraocular pressure effectively.
