Valganciclovir 450

  • Manage cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
  • Prevents cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection who are not infected with CMV or in patients who had received an organ transplant from someone who earlier had CMV infection

Valgan Tablet contains Valganciclovir, an antiviral medication used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina (CMV retinitis) in adult AIDS patients. It is also used to prevent CMV infection in patients who have undergone organ transplants from CMV-positive donors. CMV retinitis is a viral infection of the retina, which can lead to vision loss if untreated.
Valgan Tablet works by converting to ganciclovir in the body, which inhibits the multiplication of CMV. This action helps to control the infection and prevent it from worsening.
Take the Valgan Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration will depend on your medical condition. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your healthcare provider.

  • Stomach pain
  • Nausea
  • Fever
  • Tiredness
  • Sinusitis (sinus infection)

  • Women should use effective contraceptive methods while taking Valgan Tablet and for 30 days after completing treatment.
  • Men should use contraceptive methods during treatment and for 90 days after stopping Valgan Tablet to avoid affecting their partner’s pregnancy.
  • Be cautious when driving or operating machinery, as the medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or confusion.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses at once.
  • Store the Valgan Tablet at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
