Vono 20 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Peptic (stomach and duodenal) ulcers
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Erosive esophagitis
  • Conditions involving excess gastric acid secretion

Pantoprazole, the active component of Vono 20, is a proton pump inhibitor that selectively inhibits the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells. This results in a significant reduction in stomach acid production, allowing ulcers to heal and GERD symptoms, such as heartburn and acid regurgitation, to subside.

Take once daily, preferably at the same time each day.

Can be taken with or without water.

Swallow whole; do not crush or chew.

Inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, or herbal products you are using. Pantoprazole may interact with:

  • Antiretroviral drugs
  • Warfarin
  • Methotrexate
  • Clopidogrel
  • Antifungals (like ketoconazole)
  1. Avoid spicy foods, alcohol, caffeine, and smoking, as they may worsen GERD.
  2. Use with caution in individuals with liver disease or vitamin B12 deficiency on long-term therapy.
  3. May slightly increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures with prolonged use.
    Pregnancy: Use only if clearly needed and under medical supervision.
  4. Lactation: Not known to be harmful, but consult a physician before use.
