- Xofyl 200 mg is a bronchodilator. It relaxes the muscles of the airways, widening them and making it easier for air to flow into the lungs.
- Take consistently at the same time each day for the best results
- Does not provide immediate relief – use an inhaler for sudden symptoms
- Your doctor may monitor blood levels and potassium if needed
- Do not stop taking it without consulting your physician
Xofyl 200 mg is used for:
- Asthma – to prevent and manage symptoms
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) – to improve airflow and ease breathing
Adults:
- Conventional tablet: 400 mg, 1–3 times daily
- Sustained-release tablet: 400 mg once daily (evening preferred to reduce nighttime symptoms)
- Dosages up to 1200 mg/day may be prescribed depending on disease severity
- Elderly patients may require a lower dose
Children:
12 years: 200 mg tablet, 2–3 times daily or syrup 10 ml, 2–3 times daily
<12 years: 6 mg/kg twice daily, may be increased up to 9 mg/kg twice daily under supervision
