Oxycort 6/200 is used for the regular management of asthma and moderate to severe COPD in adults and children aged 6 years and older.
- Asthma: A respiratory condition where airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, causing cough, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
- COPD: A chronic lung disease that obstructs airflow, causing coughing, mucus production, and difficulty breathing.
This medicine contains two active ingredients:
- Budesonide: A corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation.
- Formoterol: A long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles to widen the passages.
Important: This medicine is not for sudden breathing problems. Always use a rescue inhaler for acute symptoms.
Adults & Children ≥6 years:
- Asthma: Dose is determined by your doctor depending on severity.
- COPD: 200 ROTACAP – 2 capsules twice daily; 400 ROTACAP – 1 capsule twice daily.
Children <6 years: Not recommended.
