Terbinox 250 is indicated for the treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail or fingernail due to dermatophytes (Tinea Unguium).

Terbinafine is excreted into breast milk; breastfeeding during therapy is not recommended.
Terbinox 250 is an antifungal medicine used to manage a broad range of fungal infections affecting the skin and nails. It works by destroying the fungus responsible for the infection and helps relieve symptoms such as itching, scaling, redness, and irritation.
For best results, the medicine should be used regularly for the full prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve earlier. Stopping treatment too soon may cause the infection to return or worsen.
Terbinafine belongs to the allylamine class of antifungal agents. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, an essential component in fungal sterol biosynthesis. This leads to a deficiency of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane and accumulation of toxic squalene inside the fungal cell, ultimately causing fungal cell death.
Terbinafine has fungicidal activity against dermatophytes and certain yeasts.
