Pantex 40 is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. It effectively reduces excess stomach acid, providing relief from acidity, heartburn, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It also promotes healing of stomach and duodenal ulcers, manages Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and prevents ulcer formation caused by long-term painkiller (NSAID) use.
Pantoprazole works by selectively inhibiting the gastric proton pump (H+/K+ ATPase), which blocks the final step of acid secretion in the stomach, resulting in long-lasting acid suppression.
