It also stimulates intestinal motions and aids in stool emptying. This medicine may be prescribed by your child’s doctor alone or in conjunction with other medications to relieve sickness, vomiting, and indigestion. Omidon Pediatric Drops act by preventing some chemicals from causing nausea or vomiting.
- Omidon Pediatric Drops contain Domperidone, which is classified as a Dopamine antagonist and is used to alleviate symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
- Nausea and vomiting are symptoms of various conditions, including infections, motion sickness, food poisoning, indigestion, overeating, and migraine, rather than a disease.
- Patients with moderate to severe liver disease, heart disease, bleeding in the stomach or intestines, intestinal blockages or tears, or prolactinoma should not use Omidon Pediatric Drops. It is recommended that individuals with kidney disease use caution when taking this medication.
- For pregnant women, Omidon Pediatric Drops should be used with caution, and they should only be used by breastfeeding women if deemed necessary by a doctor. Before using this medication, it is recommended to seek advice from a physician. Elderly patients (above 60 years of age) should also use this medication with caution.
- Omidon Pediatric Drops should not be used in children below 12 years of age or those weighing less than 35 kg. A dry mouth is the most frequent side effect of taking Omidon Pediatric Drops. If symptoms worsen or do not improve, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
