  • DNA and RNA synthesis (purine & thymidylate)
  • Red blood cell formation (erythropoiesis)
  • Amino acid metabolism
  • tRNA methylation
  • Lowering homocysteine levels (via methionine synthesis, with the help of Vitamin B12)
