Leptic 1 mg Tablet is not used as a sleeping pill as it might cause difficulty in sleeping.
Leptic contains Clonazepam, which enhances the action of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a natural calming neurotransmitter in the brain. This reduces excessive nerve activity, helping to control seizures, relieve anxiety, and promote muscle relaxation. It also suppresses abnormal electrical activity in the brain associated with epilepsy.
Leptic Tablet contains Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine medicine used to manage panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, and certain types of epileptic seizures. It is prescribed for conditions such as Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, myoclonic seizures, akinetic seizures, and may also be used in patients with absence (petit mal) seizures who have not responded adequately to other treatments.
Leptic may be used alone or alongside other anti-epileptic medicines. While it is effective for short-term treatment of panic disorder, its long-term use (beyond 9 weeks) should be reviewed regularly by a healthcare professional to ensure continued benefit.
